As an artist my main focus is to interpret life's essence and translate a specific topic into forms, values and color. My approach to achieve this goal is based on a representational style, focusing on mastering the technique without being restricted by it, and at the same time, letting my feelings guide me through the process. Through art, I allow myself to explore the nature of each scene and the character of each subject to discover its uniqueness and singularity and represent it visually. My themes could go from an apple to an ocean, from a portrait of a child to the years marked on the wrinkles of an old man. I paint because I love to paint, anything, any medium, any time. Each instance has its own challenge and this is what grasps my attention into it. My craft is very versatile, from a simple pencil sketch on the train to a portrait or nude, and the demands that it involves to capture the soul of the sitter and the expression of a body in just the right amount of strokes at the right place in the precise value. I don't try to communicate anything with my paintings, I just try to frame a moment in life to speak for itself to those who want to hear.
